Upon graduating from Fort Lewis College in 2011, Bear, the principal of Mountain Party Rental and Durango Balloon Company, began to build his family's bar business while also working part-time in his hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii.

During this period, he was introduced to the special events industry and secured a role at Hawaii Balloon Company, the largest balloon and special event company in Hawaii. Working alongside the company's experienced owners, who had over 60 years of combined experience, Bear acquired extensive knowledge and experience in the field.
 

Following his return to Durango in 2017, Bear exchanged vows at the Chris Park Campground, which inspired him to establish Durango Balloon Company and Mountain Party Rental. Through these ventures, Bear strives to offer unparalleled event services to both Durango residents and visitors to the surrounding areas.
